I moved into a new place and needed all new furniture. Everyone at Affordable Portables were very accommodating and patient and spent a lot, I mean A LOT, of time consulting with me and showing me various options that were in my specified budget. They even helped me pick pieces that would all go together and blend well in my apartment. They go out of their way not just to help you, but to make you feel like royalty! A special shout-out to Valerie who I talked with a lot and helped me make sure I loved a piece before deciding to buy it. Thank you for making my apartment into a happy home!

Affordable Portables has exemplary customer service which is why I buy all my new furniture from them! I moved to Chicago a little over 5 years ago and I have been buying furniture (3 mattresses, a beautiful winged chair, and a lovely convertible sectional couch) from them ever since.

An amazing and affordable place to buy furniture! Customer service is incredible. A little piece of the couch broke off after 6 months of buying and someone came out and fixed it no charge. Extremely satisfied with this place and will buy future furniture from here!

(This is my review of the original location, but I wanted to be sure it was shared now that Clark St. has been pushed out by developers)
-Always friendly and never pushy when we’d come in and browse. We knew we wanted to buy from a local business, and they’ve been here forever.
We finally stopped waffling and picked out just what we needed at a couldn’t-pass-up price.
Was told delivery would be between 11-2, but in fact they were gone by 11:03.
We’ll miss the Clark St. location and it’s Hippie vibe, but would gladly shop again.

What a wonderful find! This place had a wonderful variety of pieces to choose from and I found the most perfect coffee table for a great price. Avis, who took care of me, was one of the nicest and most helpful ladies you could ever ask to meet. This will now be my first stop whenever I'm in the market for furniture!
