I participated in the Google Search and Advertising class at KdG during my exchange program. In this class, I focused on learning how to use Google Ads and creating ad campaigns on my own. Although I did not have sufficient knowledge about this topic at the beginning, he was very kind and patient, always willing to dedicate extra time to support students.

Additionally, the lectures were well-prepared, and he explained complex concepts in a way that was easy to understand.
Overall, it was a highly rewarding experience.

At the beginning of the course I didn't have any idea of how Google Ads are written or how the system behind functions. After completing his course I would say I could definitely do a small campaign for my family business back in Austria.

Hans is a great teacher and I'm glad he could be our Google Ads teacher. His lessons were very rewarding and beneficial. Hans first explained everything in theory and then we had the opportunity to try everything practically. It is not easy to explain everything and to show it in such a short time we had, but I think Hans did it well. He has provided us with valuable materials that we can use in the future. He answered all our questions and was always willing to help us.

I think you can see that Hans is an expert in his field and I am very grateful that I could be part of his course and learn from him. I greatly appreciate his approach to courses and students.

I have the opportunity to have Hans as a teacher for my Google Advertising course and I have to admit that it’s my favourite class! Orientating myself as a freelancer, what I have learned from the course is highly valuable and truly practical for my own business. It really changes the way I think about online marketing and business in general.

It’s obvious that teaching everything related to Google Ad isn’t easy, especially within such a short amount of time (6 classes), but Hans managed it perfectly fine. The way he structured the classes helped students easily follow, understand and not feel overwhelmed with it. The given information was also easily applicable and concrete.

In addition to that, you can clearly see that he is an expert in the field, and he really invested his time in teaching and helping us out with whenever difficulties we have.

Although I never have him as a consultant for my business or anything alike, I really believe he will bring an enormous, positive change to your business!

I'm a student from his Google Search & Advertising 2022 class at KdG in Antwerp. Before my google ads class I thought, creating google ads was something random. That there are no techniques behind creating them. Now, after this class, I know how to create quality ads and how a good keyword research should look. I also now know that not the company who pays the most, will have the highest ad score. That was the most interesting part. Tools like the hero's journey really helped me to understand how I can write a good ad that people click on.

I'm currently doing a semester abroad at the Karel de Grote Hogeschool and as part of the semester abroad, I decided to take the Google Serach & Advertising lecture, as I found the course description written in advance of the study very practice-oriented and worth learning. In the description, it said that one would gain profound insights into the topics: Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Search Engine Advertising (SEA), User Experience (UX) and Google Analytics, and to apply the acquired knowledge to future jobs. I can now very well understand the extremely positive reviews on Google. Mr. Kolbeek has a deep knowledge of the most important aspects of Search Engine Optimisation, Paid Search and Google Advertising Strategy and Analytics. During the lectures I always sensed how much he enjoys sharing his knowledge in an easy and understandable way. With his friendly and patient manner and constant willingness to listen in case of confusion, he succeeded in explaining everything in an understandable and clear way. I particularly appreciated his special ability to present and explain a complicated subject in a simple and understandable way. His lessons were always adapted to our needs. Before the lectures, he started a survey using the Menti tool to find out which topics we had problems with and which we would like to look at in more depth. In the meantime, he developed an illustrative approach and step-by-step instructions for the various topics, which he then presented to us on the blackboard. For me, one of the most impressive step-by-step instructions was the "Identity Transformation", which I found very interesting. Last but not least, he always included real-life examples of successful digital marketing tactics from industry experts in the lectures. Now I can say that, thanks to the course, I have the know-how to realise a Google Ads campaign, to write a report on the basis of the results and then to interpret them on the basis of various parameters and to make recommendations. He has exceeded my expectations. I can therefore only strongly recommend that you make use of his many years of expertise.
