Vriendelijk en snel geholpen. Wel jammer, dat alle inwoners van Oosthuizen of Beets nu 2 × 25km verder heen en weer moeten rijden om je rijbewijs of je paspoort te verlengen. Dat jaagt de kosten voor burgers omhoog en is slecht voor het milieu.

They did not let me register BSN as Ukrainian refugee (on appointment). Required a long-term rental contract even though I’m supposed to be just given number with any temporary address I stay in.

Employee failed to understand that this number is required for immigration, she thought i don’t need to go there. She tried to scare me with an imaginary overcrowded refugee shelter even though they closed around NL.

Update: even worse! She suggested me to get RNI BSN which would completely strip me off any TPD rights in NL!

Software Engineer in my 30s, who organizes his own accommodation gets a “typical poor refugee” stereotype treatment! We running from war not from poverty. I guess NL needs lowly qualified jobs at supermarkets with drunk angry young arabs around (I am aware how inappropriate my comment is, but ignoring the problem means u’ll get an idiot like trump eventually as a “solution”). Good luck.

Conversation with employee was polite (both me and employee speak fluent English), but what was obviously implied in their behavior was
unprofessional and insulting, and again I mean it literally - this is my feeling after few days passed.

P.S.
After insisting that I’m a refugee who is eligible for Temporary Protection Directive (me and my wife left country right before war, we had residence under TPD in another country before temporary moving to my wife’s country for family emergency), she redirected me to another person (Rosette), who contacted me by email and simply didn’t reply to me, even though I answered her questions and provided additional context for my case.

I explained (additionally) that my situation is complex and urgent - my wife is not a Ukrainian citizen, so she’s stuck abroad without EU visa, while her country deported me to EU forcibly separating us, coz they did not recognize our marriage (we married in Ukraine and could not get document legalized due to war) and developed not just anti-Ukrainian but also anti-foreigner stance in general (Dutch-beloved Siam Kingdom).

And this is what was supposed to be formality of registration before going to actual process at IND.

What’s next? Arresting me like Thai did in Chiang Mai for overstay? Putting me to another month of jail? Maybe back to Bangkok IDC with 80 people in one room (including known actual criminals). Great!

My wife btw is not a bargirl like they probably assumed, she has a degree. And I used to work at Agoda.com in TH, lived in luxury condos in Bangkok (while being yep a refugee without even rights since War in Donbass wasn’t recognized), but who cares right?

As soon as I am settled somewhere, I’ll start talking to government about Edam-Volendam’s municipality’s approach. If NL gov requires such steps from Ukrainians as obtaining BSN - they must make sure there are no stupid rejections. Many other countries simply don’t require this.

EU economy benefits greatly from influx of highly-qualified labor from Ukraine. TPD is literally a deal that government doesn’t seem to follow.0

But maybe EU doesn’t need refugees who are looking for safe place - maybe u need some one to pity, like russia in 90s (that gas backfired, huh? That’s coz those people are moronic) and now arabic world (if only Ukraine took care such care of people from Donets’k as much as Israel actually non-sarcastically takes care of Palestina, and I know it coz I spent weeks in immigration detention with “crazy” but in reality spoiled mama boy palestinian guy).

While I am effectively a refugee for past 10 years, coz I’m one of those pro-Ukrainian people from Donets’k, which in 2014 was 60% of population (and probably more in my age category), fun facts. And yeah, I can only rely on myself, no family, no “mama”.

Ein Schild wies darauf hin, dass man 2 Stunden lang mit Parkscheibe parken kann. Allerdings hat man an dem Platz nun eine Bushaltestelle eingerichtet, ohne das Schild zu entfernen. Nur durch den Hinweis einer netten Dame haben wir rechtzeitig davon Kenntnis bekommen, und sind möglicherweise so einer höheren Strafe entkommen. Es ist ein Unding, dass man das Parkschild nicht entfernt hat, und ist leider unentschuldbar!
So kann man keinen Schildern mehr trauen.

We kwamen voor het vernieuwen van onze paspoorten maar waren drie kwartier te vroeg, maar konden toch eerder geholpen worden dus prima service.
